Xion

New Idea i got from the story I've been writing. I want to see how it goes.

For thousands of years, humans have not been alone on Earth. Beings called the Xion, endowed with amazing powers have lived among them for years, undetected and unnoticed. The Xion, though peaceful, were originally persecuted and shunned from society. To avoid being hunted and having to kill to live, they decided to remain unknown to the humans. However, about one thousand years ago, one of the Xion became angry with the persecution his people had gone through. Angry at the humans, he used his powers to create a stone with a terrible ability: it draws upon the power and energy of those around it to create creatures of darkness. He originally intended to use it to destroy the human race, but the stone knew no friends. It's only purpose being to destroy life, it turned on the Xion as well. To save themselves and the world, the Xion secretly killed the stone's creator and sealed it away in the Earth where it could draw no power, protecting it with magic and seals. But after a thousand years, the seals and magic have faded. The stone was discovered by a team of scientists and brought up for research. The stone took on it's originall power, but this time with even more deadly results. The Xion, unnaware of this development, were unnable to stop the stone before its power became too great for them to fight it in secret. Now, the only way to stop it is to reveal themselves to the world. Those who were shunned by the world are now the only ones who can save it.

Our story will focus around a group of young friends from the ranks of the Xion and will begin several years after the stone's revelation. The Xion are fighting a losing battle, their soldiers limited only to those who are well-trained. The main characters will be a group of young friends, below the necessary age to become a soldier, who are un-trained, their powers raw and destructive. Hoping to make some difference in the battle, they become the first of many children to join the fight

The powers generally focus around psychic manipulation, manifesting energy, and extreme strength, agility, and all over increased skills

it sounds interesting, do you have a list of powers in mind?

Hmm... well they can manipulate electricity, move objects with psychic power, create illusions, draw energy for powerful attacks, you can suggest more and I'll approve or disapprove them.

so could i take telekinesis? moving objects with my mind? and I mean like objects, turning things on/off, moving things, making things, even people fly

well they all have all the powers but they each will specialize in one thing, i.e. they will have about double the power and skill in that certain ability than in their others

wait so everyone has all powers? well that's no fun

yeah but they only have one power that they're strong in. That's the one they'll use the most and the other powers are simply to back it up because they are weak in those areas. That's why they usually fight in groups, they'll have people who balance out their own power.

so like barely in other areas, and just a major they specialize in? well that still seems iffy, because you would have to set boundaries for how much or to what extent they can use the powers that aren't theirs, i say just pick one and stick with one to avoid got-moding

meh... but that'd destroy most of the relation to the story I'm writing. and the powers that aren't their main ones are very weak. Like if a secondary power is telekinesis they can lift maybe at most a small box. But their primary power is alot more powerful

blah that will have to be very tricky, anyway, put out a list of basic powers you think we should have and we'll base it off of there

Psycho-Electric Transmission - the ability to control and create electricity
Telekinesis - ability to move objects w/out touching them
Psycho-Visual Projection - ability to create illusions
Energetic Manifestation - the ability to create blasts of energy or form objects from pure energy that the user can control. If used while attacking, it can create a much stronger impact when punching or kicking.
Vapor-esque Movement - the user can turn into a mist-like substance and move amazingly fast. However, the user can still be hit if not moving

natural skills:

All Xion have instinctual knowledge of swordsmanship. All are much stronger, faster, and more agile than humans. They also have better hearing, vision, and a higher capacity for knowledge.

hey when you say they are like super humans, do they only know swordsman ship? like can they have martial arts or like super marksmanship with guns?

and hey question for my major, say i have this guy running at me with a sword, can my powers bend his sword or take his sword away from him?

yeah. You specialize in that so it's really powerful. you could bend the sword, knock it away, push him back, though it's alot harder to move people than objects because they can subconsciously resist. And yeah, marksmanship too.

let's just say if the human doesn't have enough will power or can't put a barrier up to keep them on the ground, they can be moved

I've already told you their history. They have twice the normal life span of humans though. anything specific you want to know?

so were they all born at the same time? or do they have individual history?
